Reflection upon Gilgamesh

Gilgamesh is an epic poem from Mesopotamia with regards to a king whom changes his ways through friendship and self-realization. Gilgamesh, the Uruk king, transforms from a tyrannical despot to a man that appreciates his empire while on a journey to find immortality. Gilgamesh returns to his empire empty-handed, but still satisfied. He had come to the realization that he doesn't need immortality. This individual becomes at ease with what he has which can be how the rest of the world ought to feel. Rather than being greedy to have even more, you should be impressed by what you currently have. You won't possess time to appreciate the little items that are already in your lifestyle if you are also busy running after foolish desires. This applies to my own lifestyle because I am not an immortal being. Therefore , I must make a legacy intended for myself to ensure that people for generations to come will remember me personally for what I have done. People in the same way should create desired goals for themselves to obtain in their life span. I cannot always be the ruler that Gilgamesh was; nevertheless , I can produce impactful close friends like Gilgamesh's friendship with Enkidu. Humankind should do similar and be kind to one another whilst here on Earth. Your camaraderie with other folks should be cherished because they cannot last forever. We all learn from this kind of epic story that with a memorable existence, you will have a better afterlife. This would motivate individuals to do better items in this world today so that they can possess a better period after they happen to be dead. When dead, the points you have completed on Earth will be irreversible so we should be adding our ideal foot forward all the time.
